Former ARC staff member moves to leading role at recently merged non-profit
Bethlehem, PA, September 6, 2019 – Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley (MOWGLV) has hired Peg Breckenridge as new Chief Financial Officer.
Breckenridge, originally from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, moved to the Lehigh Valley four years ago with her husband.
Breckenridge achieved her master’s degree in accounting and management from St. Francis University. She has since accumulated over 29 years of experience in her field. Prior to coming to MOWGLV, she did accounting for various churches. Most recently, Breckenridge was the CFO at the ARC of the Lehigh Valley for the past three years.
Breckenridge states, “I am excited to part of the Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley team”. Not unfamiliar with the mission of Meals on Wheels programs, she knows the benefits of the program first-hand. She relied on Meals on Wheels while she was the primary caretaker for her elderly mother but also working full-time. “It was such a big help knowing that some one was visiting my mother each day and bringing her warm meals”. Breckenridge’s family are also supporters of Meals on Wheels, and her aunt is a Meals on Wheels volunteer in Virginia.
“Peg joins a strong team of dedicated professionals who maintain an intense focus on our mission”, said Vicki Coyle, CEO of Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley. “For a new employee, she has demonstrated an ability to manage tasks with the same interest and compassion as our seasoned employees. I’m looking forward to her playing a vital role in the agency’s future”.
