Say what you want about the controversial Chris Brown, but he sure knows how to put on a party! Last night Chris Brown make a stop in Allentown, PA, while on his INDIGOAT Tour. He’s brought along with him hip-hop artists Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, Joyner Lucas and Yella Beezy. Chris Brown is promoting his 9th studio album, “Indigo,” which was released in June and debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200. Brown is an accomplished singer, songwriter, dancer and actor, who has received a multitude of awards. He’s received a Grammy Award, 15 BET Awards, 4 Billboard Music Awards, and 6 Soul Train Music Awards. And he’s ranked as one of the Top 40 best-selling artists of all time!

If you were at the show last night, you would likely agree that Chris Brown is talented. He opened the show with “Indigo” from his new album. His vocals were strong, and his dance moves were impressive. The audience seemed to feel the connection with Brown during the slower songs, which seemed heartfelt and passionate. The theatrics, lighting, imagery, and choreography were all outstanding. He performed the majority of his new album during the first half of the show. Most of the audience seemed to know the songs, but it was evident that the crowd was yearning to hear his hits that they all know and love. Fortunately, Chris Brown came out for the 2nd half and took us down “Memory Lane.” He played very short snippets of his older hits, including some of my personal favorites “Run It!” and “Kiss Kiss.” These songs seemed to be prerecorded and were extremely short, which seemed a bit disappointing to his fans. But they played so many of these upbeat favorites, that the fans were still appreciative and had a blast dancing and singing along. The closed out the show with “No Guidance,” a collaboration with Drake off of his new album.

Overall it was an entertaining show that displayed the many talents of Chris Brown. I can guarantee that you’re in for a fun night of solid choreography, great singing, theatrics, and colorful lighting.
