Small Business Saturday is a national shopping event to support small and local businesses during the holiday season and throughout the year. Created in 2009 in the midst of the recession to put emphasis on small businesses, Small Business Saturday is celebrating its 10th Anniversary and has grown to over 7,500 neighborhood partners and businesses supporting the event throughout the United States! According to American Express, for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays within the local community, thus supporting local initiatives and residents alike.

Kylie Adams, Manager of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, stated that “Catasauqua has such a wide footprint of unique small businesses and incredible people who make up their workforce; by bringing Small Business Saturday to Catasauqua, we hope to shine a light on the businesses and business owners who are creative, innovative and bringing excitement to the borough!”

Jessica O’Donnell, EVP, Affiliated Chamber and Catasauqua Main Streets Liaison mentioned, “When you shop local in Catasauqua on Saturday the 30th, you are celebrating the uniqueness of this community.
