Check presentation ceremony to support ProJeCt of Easton’s educational and workforce programs.

 

Easton, PA: ProJeCt of Easton is pleased to announce FirstEnergy Foundation’s commitment to ProJeCt’s literacy programs and workforce development.  A check cutting presentation was held on November 19 at ProJeCt’s Fowler Literacy Center, 200 Ferry Street, Easton, PA.  Gary J. Mason (left in photo), Regional External Affairs Manager for Met-Ed/FirstEnergy presented ProJeCt’s Chief Executive Officer, Janice Komisor (right in photo), with a check for $3,000.

These funds help further ProJeCt’s mission of building a better community by helping people to help themselves.   In 2018-2019 alone, ProJeCt’s educational and workforce programs graduated more than 80 people and assisted about 5,000 individuals free of charge. Since 1968, ProJeCt has helped people throughout the Lehigh Valley break free from the cycle of poverty. ProJeCt’s mission is to build a better community by helping people help themselves and succeed in school, work and life through adult education, family literacy, school-based programming and emergency support services, including Northampton County’s largest food pantry.
