LET’S PLAY BOOKS BOOKSTORE, in partnership with the Bethlehem Area Public Library, announces the Inaugural Lehigh Valley Book Festival, to be held the last weekend of March 2020.

Let’s Play Books Bookstore, in partnership with the Bethlehem Area Public Library, is proud to present the Inaugural Lehigh Valley Book Festival, to be held the last weekend in March 2020. Join us as we celebrate books – their authors, illustrators, and readers! The festival will host creative and informative programs, including activities for all ages in and around the Lehigh Valley. The Lehigh Valley Book Festival will be an annual event.

The main event will take place on Saturday, 3/28, at the Bethlehem Area Public Library. From 10am to 4pm, there will be author and illustrator talks & panel discussions, as well as educational programs.  Families will enjoy concurrent programing of Kids’ Fest (10am-1pm) and Teens’ Fest (2-4pm). Best-selling author Gregg Hurwitz, Into the Fire: An Orphan X Novel (Minotaur Books, 1/28/20, $27.99) will lead the Keynote Session, an author-packed panel discussion about the role of storytelling in today’s society.

“The Lehigh Valley Book Festival has been in the works for over 5 years. It was important to build the community connections required to pull off such a large-scale, collaborative event. Partnering with the Bethlehem Area Public Library, working with director Josh Berk, has made this event possible.” said Kirsten Hess, owner of Let’s Play Books Bookstore in Emmaus. The festival will host authors and illustrators touring for their new front-list books, with release dates from October 2019 through March 2020.
