BETHLEHEM, PA – Registration is open for Via of the Lehigh Valley’s Teen Summer Experience. Via Teen Summer Experience helps teens with disabilities develop social skills and peer networks that lead to success in young adult life, career development and independence. Since 2008, hundreds of individuals have participated in this program to enhance independence at home and in the community.

Via Teen Summer Experience is from June 8 to August 14, 2020 and is for teens and young adults from age 12 to 21. Scholarships are available; please contact Virginia Quinones at 610-628-2326 x507 or V.Quinones@ViaNet.org for eligibility requirements.

Via Teen Summer Experience is an intensive 10-week program with opportunities to participate in a wide range of activities that includes job shadowing and career counseling, volunteer activities in a variety of inclusive settings, and a series of recreational and team-building activities.

Via Teen Summer Experience staff is available to come to schools, groups or organizations to talk with staff and/or families about this program.

Via of the Lehigh Valley is a non-profit agency that provides services for children and adults with disabilities in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, Pike, Bucks and Berks counties. Serving our community since 1952, Via’s mission is to help the people we serve reach their full potential.

Via helps adults find and sustain employment within multiple industries and service sectors. Early Intervention therapists offer physical, occupational and speech therapy to children to advance competencies and reach developmental milestones. Programs for young adults focus on networking with peers and gaining vocational skills in preparation for life after graduation. Our staff help individuals of all ages gain life skills, develop friendships, and learn how to take advantage of all the community has to offer. In addition to providing a variety of high-quality programs, Via also advocates for inclusion and equal access to community activities.
