With Punxsutawney Phil promising an early spring, there is no better time to think of warmer weather and baseball!
The Allentown Department of Parks & announces baseball registration is now open for youth sports organizations in Allentown. Each organization is actively looking for new players, volunteers and coaches.
East Side Memorial Little League, East Side Youth Center, Mountainville Memorial Little League and West End Youth Organization offer baseball opportunities for Allentown youth ages 4 to 18 years old. Each organization plays in a different league in the area.

The Allentown Parks and Recreation Department works closely with various youth organizations to increase youth baseball participation in the city of Allentown. Each youth organization functions as its own entity.

West End Youth Organization offers co-ed teams for baseball in the PYL (Parkland Youth League) at all levels. Season starts mid-April through June. Home fields are across from Trexler Middle School on W. Greenleaf Street. The age ranges that are offered include: T-Ball (ages 5 & 6), Grass Hopper -coach pitch/kid pitch (ages 7 & 8), Biddy (ages 9 & 10), Midget (ages 11 & 12), Knee-Hi (ages 13-15), and Majors (ages 16-18).
