Event Information: Our Town Heroes Banner Project

Emmaus community organizations have joined together to recognize and show appreciation for veterans and military personnel and their families with the “Our Town Heroes’ Banner Program. Many communities across the country have adopted this program to publicly recognize those who have served.

To qualify as a veteran, someone must currently or have previously served active duty  in a branch of the United States Armed Forces. Each banner requires the application to be completed, a photograph of the hero in uniform, and a cash or check payment of $150 for each banner. Checks are payable to Emmaus Historical Society. Please submit an original photograph of the hero in uniform to the Chamber. The photo provided will be scanned and the banner photo quality will reflect the original picture provided. Original photographs may be picked up at the Chamber office after April 1st.

Banners will be 24” x 48”, double-sided, vinyl material, and include service person’s name, branch of service, era of service and photograph. Banners will be displayed on utility poles in the Borough roughly between Memorial Day and Labor Day for a minimum two-year period. Banner locations will be randomly selected and specific display locations cannot be requested.

Applications must be received by March 1st of the calendar year to be displayed in that calendar year, space permitting. Proceeds from the banner applications will solely go back into the banner program designed to beautify the Borough.

For questions concerning the application, please contact Ashley Lorah, the Emmaus Main Street Manager, at (610) 739-1273 or AshleyL@LehighValleyChamber.org. Applications can be downloaded at LehighValleyChamber.org/Emmaus.

Pricing Information: $150 per banner
