BETHLEHEM, PA—Rockers Poison, which have sold more than 45 million records and placed 10 singles in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, will bring their smash hits to Musikfest when they perform on the Wind Creek Steel Stage Aug. 7, 7 p.m. Tickets for the show are $39-$79 and go on sale Tues., Feb. 11, starting at 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members, and Fri., Feb. 14, 10 a.m., to the public at www.musikfest.org and 610-332-3378. Poison’s Hot 100 number-one single released in 1988, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” was at the top of the pop, rock and country charts for three consecutive months. The band sold more than three million copies of its first album Look What the Cat Dragged In and charted more hit singles with its multi-platinum album Flesh & Blood, including “Unskinny Bop,” “Something to Believe In” and more. The group has released seven studio albums, four live albums and five compilation albums, and has had 28 singles on the radio since its debut in 1986.

The Poison concert is sponsored by Ironton Telephone, in association with 100.7 WLEV and 99.9 The Hawk. Other acts announced for the festival include Shinedown Aug. 4, Willie Nelson Aug. 5 and Darius Rucker Aug. 8.

Named the top Music Festival in North America in 2019 by USA TODAY’s 10Best, Musikfest features more than 500 performances – the vast majority free to attend – on 17 stages throughout Bethlehem over 10 days.
