Wildlands Conservancy Community & Educational Calendar of Events for October 2025
Wildlands is offering 7 fun Community & Education Events, all of which are free to the public (registration required):
- Our Get Out! For Wellness Hike at Woodland Hills (along with Apple Fest!);
- Two public stewardship opportunities: one for tree plantings at Emmaus Moravian Church and a Lehigh River clean-up effort in partnership with the Bethlehem Township Environmental Advisory Committee!
- A Hike & Bike Trail Challenge at Braden Park, along Two Rivers Trailway following Bushkill Creek;
- Our Pre-K Pathfinder offering: with our Owl Pals at Trexler Nature Preserve
- An evening Hoot Hike adventure at Black River Sanctuary;
- Our Autumn guided Canoe Paddle at Minsi Lake.

Wildlands Conservancy – Bushkill Creek Trail Challenge: Hike-Bike-Run-Discover – 9:00AM – 3:00PM EDT at Braden Park, 3800 Bushkill Dr., Easton, PA 18045. Step into this self-paced exploration through Easton’s metrowilderness, where community and wild spaces come together. This 7-mile out-and-back journey along the scenic Two Rivers Trailway follows the Bushkill Creek, offering a refreshing way to experience the natural beauty that flows through the heart of the region. Wildlands Conservancy – Emmaus Moravian Church Tree Planting – 9:00AM – 12:00PM EDT at Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Join Wildlands and members of the Moravian Church to plant 140 trees! Gloves, tools, water, and snacks will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own. Questions? For Wellness: Woodland Hills & Apple Fest – 10:00AM – 12:00PM EDT at Woodland Hills at Sandra Yerger Community Recreation Area & Nature Preserve, 4135 Country Side Lane, Lower Saucon Township, Hellertown, PA 18055. Enjoy a day of outdoor adventure, history, and seasonal treats with Wildlands Conservancy! Explore this former golf course now transformed into a 148-acre nature preserve, a great spot for wildlife viewing and, in winter, cross-country skiing. Wildlands Conservancy – Join Our Hoot Hike Adventure! – 6:30PM – 8:00PM EDT at Black River Sanctuary – Southeast entrance on Church Rd., 3390 Church Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Join us for a 1.5-mile moonlit Hoot Hike, where we’ll step into the woods in search of owls and other nocturnal creatures. Along the way, we’ll listen for calls, learn about the owls’ nighttime adaptations, and even try out a few “hoots” of our own to see who might answer back. Questions?
