BETHLEHEM, PA — The Charter Arts Foundation’s annual Art of Wine fundraising event is adapting to the current safety protocols by offering an in-home wine tasting event, “Cheers To…”, to be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 7 PM.

The event is designed for wine lovers of all levels and will feature Dakota Shy, producer of wines that are artfully crafted and a true testament to Napa Valley’s reputation for producing the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines. The exclusive collection will include Dakota Shy Cabernet Sauvignon considered to be one of the top 100 wines in the world. In addition to guiding guests on a masterful tasting experience, Dakota Shy’s founder, Todd Newman  will conduct a question and answer session.

Guests can choose from two hosting packages to be delivered to their homes. The ‘Sip and Swirl’ package serves up to 4 guests and includes access to the virtual wine tasting, three Dakota Shy half bottles (2020 Sauvignon Blanc, 2019 T-E-N and Dakota Shy Cabernet Sauvignon) for $250.  The ‘Sip, Swirl, and Savor’ package serves 6-8 guests and includes access to the virtual wine tasting, Three Dakota Shy Wine Bottles (2020 Sauvignon Blanc, 2019 T-E-N and Dakota Shy Cabernet Sauvignon), and an elegant charcuterie board from Bethlehem’s Twisted Olive restaurant for $500.

“Cheers To…” is a great way to gather with close friends at home over several bottles of some of Napa’s best wines toasting the end of a very long year, sharing missed milestones, and supporting the arts in our local community.

In addition to the wine tasting, the event includes the option to purchase a $100 Vacation Raffle ticket for a chance to win a fabulous vacation getaway.  The winner will have their choice of three dream destinations including a Kentucky Bourbon Trail experience visiting Kentucky’s legendary distilleries, a Punta Cana Caribbean tropical getaway, and a Napa Valley Backroads and Railways excursion to take through Napa Valley by car and train.  Those who might not want to travel can opt for a “Stay-cation” and cash-out for a $2500 prize to use as they wish!  The vacation raffle is open to anyone. A raffle ticket patron does not need to be an event participant.

To purchase a hosting package or to purchase a vacation raffle ticket, visit the “Cheers To…” event page located on the Foundation’s website.
