BETHLEHEM, PA– The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Production Arts Department presents its haunted house experience “Behind the Big Top” October 29 & 30, 2021, from 7-9 PM in the school’s theater located at 321 East 3rd Street in Bethlehem.  Guests will be thoroughly scared as they embark on a guided tour through a behind-the-scenes look at a deranged circus.

The event illustrates the school’s production arts curriculum which includes instruction in the areas of production design, sound design, lighting design, costume design, video production, stage management, special effects make-up design, projection design, animation, and more.  Senior production arts students were in charge of leading the design and drew inspiration from vintage circus themes from the 1920s and the 1950s.  In total, close to 50 students participate in the event as cast and crew.

To abide by Covid safety protocols, masks have been incorporated into each cast member’s costume design.  Guests will also be required to wear masks.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at www.CharterArts.org or at the door.  The tour experience lasts for about 20 minutes. Parental discretion is advised and not recommended for children under 10 years old.  Also, fog and flashing lights will be utilized for this event.
