Allentown’s Building 21 and the Chamber’s Downtown Allentown Business Alliance, with the support of Alvin H. Butz, Inc., join forces to provide a special treat at the Butz Building, 840 Hamilton Street in Allentown, PA.

Andrew Ward, Founding Visual Art Teacher, gathered students interested in the project to decorate the windows facing Hamilton Street in the first floor of the Butz Building. Ward and the students constructed an incredible design for all who are walking by to enjoy.

“The kids came together, each one contributing unique and different ideas that would support the overall display and purpose. They worked tirelessly daily on many of the items and then added painted aspects on site.” Andrew Ward shares.

“Andrew and I spoke a lot about showcasing student artwork Downtown. We are so excited, with the partnership of Alvin H. Butz, Inc., to have the opportunity to do it in such a busy area.” Staci Saeger, Vice President of Chamber’s DABA states. “It truly was such an enjoyable night from start to finish. The kids sang holiday songs, laughed, and enjoyed pizza while helping with the project. We all had a great evening and discussed the impact their work would have on the city.”

Building 21 will also be showcasing work at the Allentown Public Library and the Starbucks at 7th and Hamilton. “A wide variety of artistic styles and works will be showcased at these locations. The students designed for the purpose of winter exhibition yet had choice and expressive opportunity. The works are awesome and authentic.” Andrew Ward of Building 21 said. “Overall, the project surpassed expectations.”

“We truly couldn’t be prouder of this project and these kids.” Staci Saeger added.
