Lamont McClure and Director of Corrections James Kostura announce that Northampton County Prison (NCP) earned full compliance during its 2021 inspection period. The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and the Office of County Inspection Services conducted the inspection in November.

Receiving full compliance is a distinction earned when a facility and staff have met or exceeded Title 37, Chapter 95 expectations. Due to this status, the Department of Corrections is exempt from the normal one-year inspection cycle. Its next inspection will be conducted in 2023.

“I want to commend the Administration, Corrections Officers and other staff at NCP for their hard work and commitment to running a safe and secure facility,” says Lamont McClure. “This report shows our employees have continued to hold themselves to a high degree of professionalism despite all the challenges presented by the pandemic.”

“I am very proud of the team we have here at NCP,” says Director James Kostura. “My staff is very serious about their craft and how they handle their business within the facility.”
