The Steelworkers’ Archives announces “Steelwalker” tours resumed on Sat., April 9 and will be offered every Saturday and Sunday through December 31 (except Christmas Day). The tours start at 11:30 a.m., and leave from the plaza outside the National Museum of Industrial History (NMIH), 602 E. Second Street, Bethlehem. Free parking is available in the lot across the street from the museum. Tickets, which are available at www.steelstacks.org/events/tours, are $15 per person and free for ages 12 and under.

Walk the journey through history as former steelworkers guide guests on sidewalk tours through the Bethlehem Steel site and on the Hoover-Mason Trestle while telling stories of the plant’s past and its significance to both World Wars. Guests will also learn about the remaining buildings on the site, how life was in the neighborhoods surrounding the plant and what life was like while working at the plant. The tour concludes with a Q&A session.

All ticket sales are final, no refunds or exchanges. Tours are limited to fifteen (15) guests. Tours are operated by the Steelworkers’ Archives. For more information, visit www.steelworkersarchives.com or call 610-861-0600. Joe Mayer, President of the Steelworkers’ Archives, invites you to join us to reminisce about a way of life gone forever.
