Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts presents Annual New Play Festival

BETHLEHEM, PA— The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Theatre Department presents its annual “New Play Festival” on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 7 PM in the school’s theatre located at 321 East 3rd Street, Bethlehem.

The New Play Festival showcases six 10-minute plays written by senior students of the theatre department’s Scriptwriting Course. These dynamic short plays include a mix of comedy, drama and even a bit of absurdism. Each play will be directed by a junior theatre student, who was selected from the department’s Fundamentals of Directing Course. Senior students of the Charter Arts Production Arts Department collaborated with each playwright and director to create the costume design, lighting design, set design and props for each play.
