One Earth Reggae Festival 2022: produced in partnership with Movement Moves Media.
July 2, 2022
STEELSTACKS
101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, PA 18015
The One Earth Reggae Festival was blessed by Mother Nature, as she felt the high vibrations just as much as the rest of us felt it, at the One Earth Reggae Festival 2022. Mother Nature took a hint from Bob Marley’s song, “Sun is Shining”, and she kept that sun shining.  The peaceful aspect of the festival was all the love.  People smiling,  happy,  dancing,  all ages, from all walks of life. Jamaica was in the house. So many wonderful people.  People were happy to be outside.  It was a beautiful day,  a beautiful day at SteelStacks.
COVID caused a lot of chaos and havoc.  Life in general can be truly difficult. There are so many people struggling with so much in life.  To be able to attend a free music festival is amazing.  The worries people felt today disappeared for a while.  The sounds of Jamaica, and the unparalleled talent that took to the stage,  and delivered one amazing song after the next, made some completely forget.  People were in the moment.  That’s quite rare today.
Promise Neighborhoods of The Lehigh Valley was in attendance, and I met Jean Garcia,  and several members who were there to show support to End Gun Violence.  They were doing an amazing job with everyone.  They were one of the sponsors and Jean Garcia said,  when she found out Space Kamp was part of this,  she knew they had to help out.  They had members playing football with the kids,  people dancing together,  they introduced Space Kamp.  It was one of the most interactive,  positive festivals I’ve been to in a long time.
JoJo Mac performed.  She is absolutely so talented.  Her voice is a gift.  She sang and dedicated songs to the audience.
Maxamilly performed.  That was such a great show
Red Fox and Screechy Dan performed.  They made everyone happy.  They performed and had the audience singing and participating.  ICONS!!!  Just Icons!
They had performers all day.  Amazing artist.  LEGENDS,  including Sister Nancy with Solomonic Sound. Sister Nancy received several standing ovation and mostly everyone just stood out of respect and love for her music.  Sister Nancy deserves all the love.
Trouble City All Stars did an incredible job.  They had people on their feet.
Space Kamp came out and performed some songs from their new album,  “Butterfly Effect”, they had a crowd and they are homegrown,  hometown,  Lehigh Valley staples and loved. Adoo and Oskee made it clear that spreading love was the message of the day. The Rebel Hippies Rabbit was taking photos with everyone. Adoo and Oskee are good people. The crowd rushed over to the Highmark Stage right after Sister Nancy finished her incredible perfomance.
Lehigh Valley’s own were in attendance and so many showed up to show support, and see friends and family. Space Kamp’s energy was next-level.
Tropidelic was the last act before DJ Bez Musiq. tThe crowd was thrilled. They had so many amazing vendors. Island Noodles was there, they had an authentic Jamaican food stand with a neverending line.
Kona Ice was in attendance.  They we’re doing shaved ice.  It was great.  Island Noodles was there,  and they have vegan options.
The ladies that own Paparazzi Jewelry are so nice.  We talked about earrings,  and how I always lose mine at concerts.
Isasuma Art had some of the most beautiful handmade jewelry, handbags,  and more.
It was held at The Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks.  (And,  yes I just was there last night for (the)  Melvins show at Musikfest Cafe.  You would learn later on that they were checking out SteelStacks via Instagram.  That was pure awesomeness.
The One Earth Reggae Festival was Presented by Promise Neighborhoods of The Lehigh Valley.  (I want to say Hi to friends and to My new friends and to Gilbert who was super chill. He’s a photographer and had each show covered.)
This festival was so more than music and food.  It was bringing together community in times that are difficult right now.  There is a lot going on in the world yet a community that will show up means a lot.  They did such a great job. I think Oskee and Adoo are right when they say keep spreading the love and high vibrations.  The world needs that love,  it needs community. We need that.
