City of Easton Recreation Dept. launches new Basketball Clinic for kids

Takes place over three days next week at Lafayette College

The City of Easton Recreation Department will host a new Basketball Clinic for kids ages 9-13 over three days next week. Participants will learn skill development from Division 1 college players and coaches. Each participant receives a basketball.

The clinic is free for city residents and is $40 for non-residents. Registration is required for all participants. To register a child online, visit http://bit.ly/EastonRecSports.

Deadline to register is Sunday 8/7. Call 610-250-6711 by no later than 4:30 pm this Friday with questions or for more information.

Clinic Director: Kevin McCarthy, City of Easton Director of Recreation, and former college basketball coach with over 500 victories. Member of New York State Basketball Hall of Fame and National Junior College Hall of Fame.

Assisted by Eric Holden, City of Easton Assistant Director of Recreation, and women’s assistant basketball coach at Lafayette.

Speakers:

  • Harley Fuller – former Division player at Florida International University and European professional, current Assistant Coach at Siena College
  • Brennan McCarthy – former college standout and Head Coach at Northampton Community College
  • Eric Jacobs – Head Varsity Coach at Easton High School and former standout at Wilkes University
  • Leo O’Boyle – rising senior, Lafayette College men’s basketball team

Clinic will also include standout high school and college players who will serve as coaches and counselors.

August 8 & 10 from 1-3 pm, and August 12 from 9 – 11 am

Kirby Sports Center at Lafayette College – 700 W. Pierce St.
