ArtsQuest, PNC partner to offer the PNC Backstage Experience

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – PNC and ArtsQuest are excited to collaborate with Bethlehem Area School District (BASD) to give students enrolled in the district’s English for Speakers of Other Languages program a special backstage experience at Musikfest this year on Sunday, Aug. 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

This year, students will enjoy a field trip to the Wind Creek Steel Stage for a special musical adventure featuring one of the 2022 Musikfest headliners, Grammy-award winning Olga Tañón.

During the PNC Backstage Experience, students will sit in on a pre-show soundcheck to learn about all the exciting behind-the-scenes action that takes place before a concert.

Their day will include meeting with Tañón’s tour manager, members of the production and programming team, and those involved in community relations and sponsorship. They will also get to talk with Tañón’s producer, Marie, to get an inside scoop on her career journey. Tañón is an award-winning Puerto Rican pop singer/songwriter. She will headline the Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza on Sun., Aug. 14, the closing night of the 39^th annual flagship ‘fest.

This isn’t the first Musikfest that BASD students got an exclusive backstage experience thanks to PNC. The students have been thrilled to learn about the inner-workings of the music business, and some even showed interest in their own musical careers. ArtsQuest and PNC are pleased to work with the school district once again to continue cultivating appreciation for arts and music in the Lehigh Valley community.
