BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania, April 7, 2022 — The Celtic Cultural Alliance (CCA) announces that as part of its 35th anniversary celebration of the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival, whiskey master classes have been added.

‘Whiskey or whisky has very deep roots in the Celtic culture’ says Executive Director, Jayne Ann Recker.  To have a selection from Wales is unusual and these are not products most people have ever heard of.  They will be pleasantly surprised.

A fast sell out is expected due to the unique tasting selection.

Join host Jared Card of ImpEx Beverages as he takes you on a journey through the UK starting with the delicate flavors of Wales (Penderyn), followed by the Sherry influence of Speyside (GlenAllachie), and ending with the lovely peat smoke of Islay (Kilchoman). Having the opportunity to taste through 2 selections from each distillery while learning more about the people and the stories behind the brands and what makes each one special and unique.

Tasting selection:

  • Kilchoman Machir Bay
  • Kilchoman Sanaig
  • Penderyn Madeira
  • Penderyn Myth
  • GlenAllachie 12 yr

About the Celtic Cultural Alliance

On Columbus Day weekend in 1988, the first Celtic Classic was presented by a small group of individuals. The goal of this dedicated group was to create an event that symbolized the Celtic spirit and history and to provide the impetus for an organization that focused on promoting the Celtic culture. This group evolved into Celtic Cultural Alliance, a non-profit organization, to better communicate the overall goals of the organization.

The CCA has expanded with year-round programming to support the mission of promoting and preserving Celtic Culture through arts, music, literature, dance, and history programs. In keeping with the spirit of “Next Generation”, the CCA also offers scholarships to promising young students of the Celtic Arts. These yearly scholarships are offered to students of the arts, including Irish Step Dance, Highland Dance, Fiddle, and Bagpipes.

The Celtic Classic has blossomed into the largest Celtic festivals in North America. Annually, over 250,000 visitors come to Historic Bethlehem to join in this celebration of all things Celtic.
