The Bronx Wanderers wandered into Easton,  Pa tonight as friends and I attended the concert at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton,  Pennsylvania.  Easton has been thriving.  I will say,  I was not one hundred percent familiar with The Bronx Wanderers which made me want to see the show even more.  I do love New York,  music,  and The State Theatre has become one of my favorite places to visit.  It has that true theatre feel to it.  You can see an Opera there,  watch a film,  a concert,  and a play while being in Awe of this iconic establishment in the downtown heart of Easton.
The Easton State Theatre has seen so many acts pass through over the years.  Tonight’s act performed songs from a variety of artists,  when I saw a variety,  think Frank Sinatra,  Bruno Mars,  Queen,  Tom Jones,  The Backstreet Boys,  Elvis Presley,  Chuck Berry,  the legend DION and the Belmonts,  Frankie Valley and The Four Seasons, and more.
Yo’ Vinny,  the lead singer and father of the group described them as the Italian Osmond Family.  The Bronx Wanderers are made up of: Yo’ Vinny (Lead singer/Acoustic Guitar),  Vin A. (Music Director, Lead Vocals & Backing Vocals,  Keyboard,  Guitar),  Nicmy Stix (Dru. S,  Backing Vocals),  Joe Bari (Saxophone,  Keyboard,  Guitar,  Backing Vocals),  Fernando Tort (Bass & Backing Vocals), and David Braun (Lead Guitar,  Backing Vocals).
I found out Vinny started working for Lifesong and Columbia Records.  He did that since he was 17 years old.  He’s been doing this forever and has worked with everyone from Michael Jackson to Billy Joel.  He produced albums,  made hits and during the show he talked about tye songs and said,  each song you hear tonight,  is either someone I’ve had the pleasure yo produce,  sing back-up for,  or worked with in the record industry during my 30 year career.”
He’s humble,  thankful and paid tribute to the Veterans,  police,  firemen,  first responders,  nurses, and teachers.  He asked the Veterans to stand up.  We thank you for your service.  They made jokes,  talked to the audience, Vinny talked about growing up in the Bronx. Vinny is good friends with iconic actor Chazz Palminteri.  They had a conversation back and forth via the screen so Vinny could show how The Bronx Wanderers were formed.
Vinny’s son and the “kids” as Vinny calls them wanted Vinny and The Bronx Wanderers to perform Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. They performed with Vin A. doing lead vocals and if they were the legendary Bronx Bombers,  they knocked it out of the park. “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen is one of those songs that has become untouchable.  It’s beyond iconic. They added some of The Bronx Wanderer and made it amazing.
Make sure to check out The Bronx Wanderers and get to know the beloved streets of the Bronx.
