ALLENTOWN BAND PRESENTS “ON BROADWAY” HOSTED BY THE LIBERTY BELL MUSEUM AT THE LIBERTY BELL CHURCH

ALLENTOWN, PA TODAY—The Allentown Band will give a special concert at the Liberty Bell Church on Sunday, October 23 2022 at 3 p.m.

The Liberty Bell Museum is proud to host the Allentown Band to perform “On Broadway.” The Allentown Band’s program will include compositions celebrating the long musical history of Broadway musicals.

The Allentown Band has performed in such venues as the prestigious Carnegie Hall and In- ternational Music Festival at the Kennedy Center in 2010. For this performance, they will be under the direction of Ronald Demkee.

“We are excited to host the Allentown band for this special performance. It is an annual event that many of our patrons and sponsors look forward to every year,” says Liberty Bell Museum Director, Rev. Joshua Knappenberger.

The concert benefits the educational programs of the Liberty Bell Museum, which provides a hands-on educational experience for every third and seventh grader in the Allentown School District.

Tickets are $10 per person, available in advance or at the door, also include admission to the museum on the day of the concert. Information on ticket sales can be obtained by calling the Liberty Bell Museum at 610 435 4232.

The Liberty Bell Museum is located in historic Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, located at 622 W. Hamilton St, Allentown, PA. The church is on the National Register of Historic Places. As the first church in Allentown in 1762, the site was used as a makeshift hospital during the American Revolution as well as the site where the now-famous Liberty Bell was hidden from the British.
