Rep. Susan Wild Announces $1 Million Investment in Northampton County Gracedale Nursing Home

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Susan Wild announced that Gracedale Nursing Home in Northampton County has received a $1,000,000 federal investment for repairs and improvements. This grant was secured by Congresswoman Wild through Fiscal Year 23 Community Project Funding.

“Gracedale Nursing Home provides critical care to members of our community, and I am thrilled to have secured this funding to improve the quality of life for residents and their families,” said Congresswoman Susan Wild. “I will continue to support their important work and keep pushing to bring home federal dollars for our community.”

“I can’t thank Rep. Susan Wild enough for prioritizing the residents of Gracedale. We know she has our back in assuring the largest nursing home under one roof in the Commonwealth continues to be a safe and beautiful place to live,” said Northampton County Executive Lamont G. McClure.

Gracedale, the largest long-term care facility under one roof in Pennsylvania, provides short-term rehabilitation, Alzheimer care, respite care, and long-term residential care. These funds will be used for a variety of improvements and repairs, including fixing elevators, smoke detectors, and refrigerators. Additionally, funds will be used for the installation of a Therapeutic Garden with features designed to aid residents with dementia.
