Lehigh Valley, Pa. (Oct. 24, 2023) – Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) celebrated its annual black-tie fundraiser, Nite Lites, this past weekend with another take on Halloween – a masquerade. For the first time, the event was held at the brand-new Wind Creek Hotel Foundry Ballroom in Bethlehem.

“While we have enjoyed many years celebrating Nite Lites under the tent at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, I have to say, I can’t disguise my delight in this new location,” said Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, LVHN’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “I feel nothing but gratitude for your presence and support of LVHN.”

Over 700 guests enjoyed the masquerade-themed evening, complete with dining, dancing and a captivating performance by New York tenor and international classical-crossover vocalist Christopher Macchio. This year’s gala raised over $900,000, with proceeds benefiting Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute. As tragedy continued to unfold in the Middle East, guests were given the additional opportunity to give to a newly established Fund for Humanitarian Assistance.

“By attending this event, you make it possible for our highly skilled physicians, clinicians and support staff to provide the lifesaving care and partnership our community needs,” said Ronald A. Freudenberger, MD, MBA, Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute Physician in Chief. “Your generosity not only allows us to improve what we are already doing so well, but pioneer the next innovations in heart and vascular care.”

Dr. Nester thanked more than 70 sponsors for their support, giving special recognition to lead sponsors Steve and Jeanne Follett, Gross McGinley, LLP, Lutron Electronics and Norris McLaughlin, P.A.
