Allentown, PA (April 24, 2025) – Valley Youth House is proud to announce it has been selected as one of the primary beneficiaries of the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic, a new professional golf tournament coming to the PGA TOUR Champions schedule in Fall 2026. The tournament, announced today by Jefferson Health, PGA TOUR Champions, and Lehigh Country Club, will be held annually in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and is expected to generate a $50 million boost to the region’s economy over the next five years.
As one of two nonprofit organizations chosen to benefit from the event’s proceeds, Valley Youth House will receive funding to support its mission of providing housing, counseling, and life skills development for vulnerable youth and families across the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
“We are deeply honored to be named a beneficiary of the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic” said Christina Schoemaker, Senior Vice President of Advancement at Valley Youth House. “This generous commitment will help us continue to provide critical support, housing, and resources to young people in our community. We’re grateful to work alongside organizations that share our dedication to caring for our community and building healthy futures for all.”
The Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic will debut the week of September 28, 2026, at the historic Lehigh Country Club, welcoming a field of 78 PGA TOUR Champions players—including legends like Stewart Cink, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, and Bernhard Langer. All three rounds will be televised on the GOLF Channel, bringing national and international visibility to the tournament, the region, and its charitable impact.
The tournament is being managed by HNS Sports Group and hosted by Tournaments for Charity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The other beneficiary is the Eagles Autism Foundation, which will receive funding to support autism research and care programs.
