Congressman Ryan Mackenzie Welcomes Carpetbagger Crosswell to the Greater Lehigh Valley
ALLENTOWN, PA — This week, the Mackenzie for Congress Campaign formally welcomed their latest Democratic challenger, Ryan Crosswell, to the race for U.S. Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District. The welcome came in the form of a gift basket, which was signed for upon its arrival yesterday at Croswell’s Washington D.C. residence. Pennsylvania’s 7th District encompasses the Greater Lehigh Valley, including Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties as well as parts of Monroe County. Ryan Crosswell, who admits to never having lived in the area, and whose previous visits occurred decades ago while he was sitting in a school bus, comes to the region by way of Washington, D.C.
Congressman Ryan Mackenzie announced the welcome in a post, which reads in part, “We love to have new visitors here in the Lehigh Valley! This month, we’re very happy to welcome Ryan Crosswell, who is vacationing away from his DC home for a few months while he runs for Congress.… P.S. we weren’t sure if you’d be here or back home on election day, so we’re including a mail-in ballot application.”
“By parachuting Ryan Crosswell into our community, D.C. insiders and special interests bent on taking back power are playing a bad joke on the people of the Greater Lehigh Valley,” said Mackenzie for Congress Spokesman Arnaud Armstrong. “Crosswell has never lived in the Lehigh Valley and is apparently maintaining his D.C. address. In fact, it has been over a week since Crosswell entered the race and his website still doesn’t include any mention of where he is running beyond the legal name of the district. The people of the Greater Lehigh Valley will reject this cynical attempt to have our community represented by a carpetbagging, special interest chosen, DC resident.”
