P’Burg Farmers Market Moves to River, Saturday
The Phillipsburg Farmers Market moves to Riverside Way and will now be held on the promenade at Riverside Way and the large municipal parking lot on the banks of the Delaware River. The new market location is in the shadow of the Northampton St. “Free Bridge” connecting Phillipsburg to Easton, and features loads of free parking spots along with the scenic backdrop of “New Jersey’s Other Shore.”

“Moving the Market to the river boosts our Rails to Trails initiative,” said Patrick Kays, who coordinates Phillipsburg’s Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) program and is Director of Municipal Services & Community Development. “The Free Bridge area and Delaware River shore are at the heart of Rails to Trails. With nearly $3 million in grant funding for this program – this is just the start.”
Starting August 9, the Farmers Market will now be held Saturdays from 9am to 1pm and will coincide with the Easton Farmers Market held just across the river.
“Farmers Markets on both sides of the river can make for a gorgeous morning,” said Phillipsburg UEZ Event Coordinator, Elizabeth Wyant. “Market-goers can park here on the Phillipsburg side, sample the fabulous homemade, artisan and culinary wares, maybe take a walk down by the water and then a lovely stroll across the historic bridge to see what Easton has to offer.”
