Astound’s Boundless Generosity
Astound continues partnership with local affordable housing nonprofit, Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley
Hellertown, PA | Thursday, October 9, 2025 – When Habitat for Humanity International and Astound contacted Habitat Lehigh Valley in January 2024, little did Habitat Lehigh Valley know they were entering a partnership with such a community-focused and service-oriented company. In early 2024, Habitat for Humanity International launched their Home is the Key campaign, partnering with various national organizations and choosing local Habitat affiliates across the country like Habitat Lehigh Valley to make a significant impact on the lack of enough affordable housing stock throughout the United States. Right here in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, Habitat Lehigh Valley works tirelessly to build and repair homes, communities, and hope – and they couldn’t do it without partners like Astound.
Since April 2024, Astound has generously donated approximately $95,000 to Habitat Lehigh Valley’s various programmatic endeavors, thus becoming one of the organization’s largest sponsors over the course of the past year. Donated funds have been used to support the building of four homes on Philip Street in Bethlehem, as well as various repairs and upgrades to the Habitat Lehigh Valley Hellertown ReStore property – including making the barn deck ADA accessible, upgrading parts of the farmhouse to make it more suitable for office space, and supporting various retail space upgrades in the ReStore itself. All of these endeavors support Habitat Lehigh Valley’s mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Without the proper internal resources, it is nearly impossible to serve the Lehigh Valley community as much as needed. Additionally, Astound has dedicated their time and talent volunteering on the Philip Street site, as well as at the Hellertown ReStore, both in construction and retail. Most recently, they’ve spent 4 days at the Hellertown ReStore location, working on the accessibility ramp for the barn deck. Ultimately, the barn and connecting deck will become home to seasonal sales and events that will raise funds for Habitat Lehigh Valley’s Homeownership and Critical Home Repair Programs. Finally, Astound has made sure that the four Philip Street families stay connected with a donation of a 65inch TV per household and free internet service for a year. Corporate partners like Astound make the dream of accessibility and homeownership a reality.
Founded in 1989, Habitat Lehigh Valley has now dedicated 142 homes with a 99% retention rate and a 4/4 star rating on Charity Navigator. As an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat Lehigh Valley is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter and believes in a world where everyone deserves a decent place to live.
Habitat Lehigh Valley is thrilled to serve local, hardworking, low to moderate income families, and add to and invigorate the Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton communities.
