Magellan Cares Foundation Awards $2,500 Grant to Safe Harbor Easton in Northampton County
Bethlehem, PA – November 12, 2025 – Magellan Cares Foundation and Magellan Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania, Inc. today announced a recently awarded grant of $2,500 by the Foundation to Safe Harbor Easton in Northampton County. The grant award supports Safe Harbor’s ARISE Program, which is a structured, three-phase program embedded in the shelter that combines individualized in-house case management with a therapeutic community to address root causes of homelessness and recidivism.

Safe Harbor Easton
Safe Harbor Easton provides program-driven shelter for adults experiencing homelessness, as well as basic human services to the greater community. Their 50-bed ARISE Shelter aims to provide long-term solutions to homelessness through targeted curriculum, in-house case management, and a therapeutic community structure. It is their mission to foster lifelong success and stability in homeless individuals by addressing the root causes of their homelessness. In addition to their ARISE Shelter, they also offer a soup-kitchen style lunch and supplies to the community through a day program. To learn more, visit here.
Magellan Cares Foundation
A 501(c)(3) organization, focuses on efforts to improve access to quality healthcare and related social supports. The Foundation supports programs and initiatives in four areas: national or large-scale health access and quality improvement initiatives; efforts that help to improve the social supports around a quality healthcare system, such as access to housing, food, clothing or self-improvement opportunities; local efforts, including legacy initiatives supported by Magellan Health’s employees; and efforts to support America’s military service members, veterans and wounded warriors.
