10 local wineries, 8 food trucks, and 15 vendors spread Holiday cheer in a classic Drive-In setting
Lehighton, Pennsylvania, November 2025 – On Saturday, November 22nd, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater, located on Seneca Road in Lehighton, and the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation present the first off-season event at the historic theater, the Mahoning Wine Fest.
“Before I was involved with the Mahoning, I ran a local vineyard, so this is a fun melding of my current and past career,“ said Virgil Cardamone, owner and operator, “We’re looking forward to welcoming locals back to the Drive-In lot one more time to taste the areas finest and stock up on take-home bottle from local wineries for their Holiday. Come get some tasty treats from local food trucks and do a little holiday shopping from local craft vendors, then stay for a special secret feature on the big screen after dark”.
Gates open at noon, with wineries and food trucks set up on the grass under the giant Mahoning screen, with craft vendors lined up near the snack bar, which will be open for non-alcoholic drinks, hot drinks and food, and one last chance to get some of the Mahoning’s renowned popcorn before the theater closes until April 2026.
“With the Mahoning Wine Fest, we’re looking to bring a little elegance, a little fun, and a cozy pre-Holiday Season fun to the Drive-In, a chance for both visitors who are there for the wine and shopping to have a nice fall afternoon in a beautiful and classic setting, and regular attendees of our theater one last chance to spend some time with us before we shut down the theater for the winter,” Cardamone said.
“We’re also excited to announce another first: Mahoning-branded wine! In collaboration with Blue Mountain Vineyards of New Tripoli, we’ll be offering bottles of ‘Mahoning Moonlit Marquee’, a chocolate ruby port, for folks to take home as a memento of the afternoon.”
The event will run Noon until 5pm, and at 5:30 anyone choosing to stay a bit longer will be treated to a surprise film on the big screen.
Tickets are only $5 per person, which includes a souvenir tasting glass! Designated drivers and those under 21 are admitted free!! All guests must present ID at the gate and wear their assigned wristbands at all times on site.

The Mahoning is the only Drive-In theater in the country whose programming is comprised entirely of 35mm classic films, and its unique programming and showmanship has made it a destination for film lovers the world over. With the Mahoning Wine Fest, they hope to expand their offerings into seasonal daytime events, not necessarily tied to film screenings.
