Slatington, PA – The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is excited to welcome the community for one of its longest-standing holiday traditions as it debuts in a new location: the annual Slatington Tree Lighting Ceremony! This festive celebration will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Slatington Trailhead of the D&L Trail (89 Main St., Slatington). This event is free and open to the public.
“While we’ve expanded our holiday celebrations into multiple communities throughout the Greater Northern Lehigh region over the years, the Slatington Tree Lighting Ceremony remains our oldest and most cherished tradition,” said Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, Executive Vice President of the Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to gathering with the Slatington Borough and Northern Lehigh community to ring in the season together with joy, gratitude, and hometown spirit.”
This year’s event will feature festive holiday performances from Slatington Elementary School and Rhythm and Sole Dance Studio, setting the stage for a warm and spirited evening. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn while taking in the holiday magic.
Families can expect a visit from the Mickey & Minnie Mouse and, of course, a very special appearance by Santa Claus, who will arrive at 6:30 PM to light the community tree. Following the lighting, attendees will be invited to take photos with Santa to capture the memory of this annual tradition.
The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber invites residents, neighbors, and visitors to join in this beloved holiday celebration filled with community pride and seasonal cheer.
