Mackenzie, Vice President Vance Highlight Economic Progress for Working Families in the Lehigh Valley

Alburtis, PA — Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07), representing the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, joined Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer today at Uline in Alburtis to highlight economic progress delivered by Congress and the Trump-Vance Administration for working families, seniors, and small businesses.

During the event, Congressman Mackenzie emphasized that improving affordability has been his top priority since taking office and pointed to recent progress in lowering costs, cutting taxes, and strengthening the economy.

“You sent us to Washington to do the hard things, fix the damage, and deliver for the working people of America,” said Congressman Mackenzie. “We aren’t going to quit until the job is done, and we’re going to get it done because we have a president, a vice president, and a Congress that is putting America first and the American people first.”

Vice President Vance highlighted job creation, wage growth, and new private-sector investment in Pennsylvania, pointing to Uline, a major employer in the region, as an example of renewed domestic investment and economic momentum. He also praised Congressman Mackenzie’s leadership and work on behalf of the district:

“We’ve got our great Congressman Ryan Mackenzie. Ryan is doing a good job in Washington. He’s got a great heart for the people of this district,” said Vice President JD Vance. “Sometimes people go to Washington and forget who they serve, not Ryan Mackenzie. You are very lucky in Pennsylvania to have one of the good ones, and Ryan is helping us every single day fight for American workers.”

Congressman Mackenzie also highlighted the Administration’s work to secure the border, restore American leadership abroad, and expand domestic energy production, priorities he said are directly tied to easing pressure on household budgets.

“This administration has brought illegal border crossings to the lowest level on record, and we in Congress backed them up with funding to do that,” said Congressman Mackenzie. “Under this administration, we’ve done what America does best: lead.”

The event also included remarks from Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer, who highlighted the Administration’s pro-worker agenda and praised Congressman Mackenzie’s efforts to support job growth and higher wages across the region.

Congressman Mackenzie concluded by reaffirming his commitment to continue working with Vice President Vance and the Administration to build an economy that delivers lower prices, higher wages, and greater opportunity for families across the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

Following the event, Congressman Mackenzie joined Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance at the Allentown Rescue Mission in Allentown, where they served lunch to guests at the shelter. The Mission rescues, rehabilitates, and restores men in crisis across the Lehigh Valley. Founded more than a century ago, it is one of the oldest organizations in the region dedicated to addressing homelessness.
