ALLENTOWN, Pa. — December 26, 2025 — Local residents across Pennsylvania’s 22nd District are calling for a fair and transparent candidate selection process ahead of the upcoming special election for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Residents say voters deserve basic clarity on how candidates are chosen, who is making the decision, and what standards are being used—especially in a special election, where timelines are compressed and public confidence is essential.

“This is about strengthening trust in the process,” a resident spokesperson said. “Regardless of party, the community should be able to understand how a nominee is selected and how residents can be heard.”

Residents plan to release additional information and specific transparency recommendations in a follow-up statement in the coming days.
