New cookie, Exploremores™ makes its debut as part of beloved tradition and powerful fundraiser

(January 15, 2026) — Today, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP) kicks off the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie™ season, allowing Girl Scouts to “unbox the future” and raise funds to support their dreams through the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world.

“Each year, we, and many of you, look forward to the Girl Scout Cookie season for many reasons,” said Kim E. Fraites-Dow, CEO of GSEP. “Of course, the cookies are delicious. But beyond the taste, the Girl Scout Cookie Program is a critical fundraiser that supports and sustains our mission at GSEP.”

Exploremores™, a rocky road ice cream–inspired sandwich cookie, will join the legendary lineup for the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season. Filled with delicious flavors of chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème, Exploremores reflect the spirit of exploration at the heart of every Girl Scout. In addition to the exciting new cookie, the 2026 cookie lineup will include fan favorites such as Thin Mints®, Caramel deLites®, Peanut Butter Patties® and more. Cookie packages are sold for $6 each, and the Caramel Chocolate Chip Gluten Free cookie is $7 per package. All proceeds from cookie sales stay with local councils and troops to power Girl Scouts’ amazing experiences year-round.

This year, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania is excited to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by honoring the first ever Girl Scout Cookie sale, which happened in Philadelphia. In 1933, local Girl Scouts baked and sold the first Girl Scout Cookie at the Philadelphia Gas and Electric Company. The cookie sale was adopted by Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. as a national program in 1936.
