Carbon Foundation Announces Scholarship Opportunities

[1/27/26] ─ The Carbon County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s scholarship opportunities, supporting local high school graduating seniors as they pursue higher education and career training.

Through the generosity of local donors, the Community Foundation awards more than $45,000 in scholarships to help students offset the cost of college, university, and vocational or technical programs. Award amounts range from $500 to $8,000.

Some scholarships are open to students who reside anywhere within Carbon County, while others are school district specific, reflecting the unique goals and intentions of individual scholarship funds.

“Education is one of the most meaningful investments we can make in our community’s future,” said Sharon Alexander, President of the Carbon County Community Foundation. “These scholarships reflect the generosity of our donors and their commitment to supporting local students as they take the next step toward their goals.”

The application deadline for all scholarships is March 1. Students can find eligibility requirements, scholarship details, and application materials online at www.cccfoundpa.org/scholarships.

Scholarship recipients will be notified in early May and formally announced at the Foundation’s Annual Grants and Scholarships Awards Celebration. Recipients will also be recognized during their school’s senior awards program.

Individuals, families, and organizations interested in establishing a scholarship fund through the Community Foundation still have time to do so for this year. Scholarship funds can be customized to reflect personal passions, honor loved ones, or support specific schools or fields of study.
