Assemble signs for historical sites on Lehigh County’s Treasure Trail with Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown. Calling all crafty and handy people to help us assemble 19 signs on Saturday, February 21 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The signs will be placed at cultural and historical sites to celebrate America 250 Pennsylvania. All materials are provided. Volunteer to be a part of the Lehigh Valley Easter 5K, 10K and ½ Mile Fun Run in Allentown on April 4. The race benefits the Eastern PA Down Syndrome Center and its mission of advocacy, education, and support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Woodworkers needed to create playing card holders for residents at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. The volunteer would need to make the playing card holders offsite in their own woodshop, preferably with wood pieces they have hanging around. Support the behind-the-scenes operations of the Wilson Area LINCS Food Pantry as the Food Pantry Inventory Coordinator. The coordinator focuses on receiving and processing large food deliveries to support the Food Pantry’s operations. This volunteer plays a key role in inventory control, warehouse organization, and food safety. A coordinator is needed every other Friday morning. Help make River Crossing YMCA’s warming station in Allentown a safe, welcoming space for our community. Dinner service volunteers are needed every night of the week, 7 days a week from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM to help welcome guests, serve warm meals, distribute supplies, and offer compassionate support to those experiencing homelessness. Be a radio news host with WDIY! Volunteers needed to operate the board for our daily NPR programming, particularly for Morning Edition roles (weekdays 6-9am).
