BETHLEHEM, PA—After the initial event sold out, Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites has announced six additional dates for “Baked into Bethlehem with Richard Groman Jr.” of Groman’s Bakery. The experience, which takes place at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, features a talk by Groman that covers his family’s baking legacy and many of the Groman’s Bakery artifacts and photos in the “Baked into Bethlehem” exhibition, followed by a guided tour of the exhibit at the museum. Upcoming event dates are Saturdays, Feb. 21, March 21, April 25, May 16, June 20 and July 25 at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets for Baked into Bethlehem with Richard Groman Jr. are $15 for Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites Members and $25 for the public. They’re on sale now at historicbethlehem.org or by calling 610-360-TOUR (8687).

Founded in the 1920s by Ezra D. Groman, Groman’s Bakery grew from a Moravian mint recipe into a shop known for its elaborate tortes, cakes and custom-decorated desserts. Although the bakeries are long gone, today the Groman family continues to bake their original-recipe sugar cookies once a year for HBMS, with the cookies available for purchase only during the holiday season.

The “Baked into Bethlehem” exhibition is on display at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, 427 N. New St., and the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, 66 W. Church St., through July 26. Tickets to the Richard Groman Jr. event include admission to both museums that day. Museum hours on Saturdays are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For additional information, please visit historicbethlehem.org.
