ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Mar. 11, 2026) – Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, received an impactful donation from Spirit Halloween’s Spirit of Children program. Spirit of Children presented a $160,680 check to the Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Department, marking its largest-ever contribution.

Spirit of Children has now donated a total of more than $1.25 million to the Children’s Hospital since it began supporting Child Life in 2012. Leaders from both organizations celebrated the occasion at a check presentation ceremony.

The Child Life Department is the largest program in the region with specialists focusing on children’s social, emotional and intellectual growth. Funds are put toward purchasing toys and educational activities, which child life specialists use to ease the stress and uncertainty surrounding hospital visits.

Spirit of Children aims to make hospitals less scary for kids and their families. It hosts an annual Spooktacular Halloween Party for patients and their families. Donations for the Children’s Hospital are collected at Spirit Halloween and Spirit Christmas stores.
