Trexlertown, PA — The Valley Preferred Cycling Center, home of the iconic T-Town Velodrome, is inviting talented singers and groups from across the region to perform the National Anthem during its 50th Anniversary Friday Night Racing Series this summer.

The Velodrome’s historic anniversary season runs May 29 through August 14, 2026, and organizers are looking for individuals, families, school groups, choirs, and community performers who would like the opportunity to open the evening’s racing program with a performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The National Anthem is performed each Friday night at approximately 7:00 PM before the start of world-class track cycling competition.

“Celebrating 50 years of racing at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center is a special moment for our community,” said Gary Thornton, executive director of the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. “We would love to showcase local voices and give singers the opportunity to be part of the tradition that kicks off each Friday night of racing.”

Performing the National Anthem at the Velodrome places singers in front of an enthusiastic crowd and a unique sporting atmosphere as fans gather for one of the region’s most exciting summer traditions.

While performances are unpaid, selected singers and their immediate family members or group will receive complimentary admission to enjoy the evening’s racing events.
