ALLENTOWN, PA & JACKSON, NJ — March 23, 2026 — Local favorites are stepping into the national spotlight.
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom and Six Flags Great Adventure are celebrating multiple nominations in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, with voting officially open starting today.
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is making a splash with nominations for:
- Best Lazy River — Runaway River
- Best Wave Pool — Wave Pool
At Six Flags Great Adventure, one of the world’s most iconic wooden roller coasters is once again in the spotlight:
- Best Roller Coaster — El Toro
Selected by a panel of USA TODAY editors and industry experts, these nominations recognize attractions that deliver unforgettable experiences — from laid-back moments on the water to high-speed, adrenaline-pumping thrills.

As the season gets underway, Six Flags Great Adventure opens this Saturday, March 28, with a special Passholder Preview on Friday, March 27, while Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom begins its 2026 season on May 8.
Voting is open now through Monday, April 20 at 11:59 a.m. EDT, and fans can vote once per day in each category.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 29 at 12:00 p.m. EDT.
The USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards highlight top attractions and businesses across the country, with winners determined by public vote.
