Carbon County, PA – The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with PPL Electric Utilities, announces its upcoming Legislative Update: What to Look for in 2026—a focused and practical conversation on the policies, priorities, and investments shaping Carbon County in the year ahead. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 28 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blue Mountain Resort.

This timely program will bring together leaders from across state, county, and local levels to provide valuable insight into the decisions impacting businesses, communities, and residents throughout the region. Designed for business owners, employers, municipal officials, and engaged residents, the event will highlight what to watch in 2026 and how policy decisions influence daily life, economic growth, and community development.

“The Legislative Update is an important opportunity for our community to hear directly from the leaders shaping policy at every level,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, SVP of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “Understanding how these decisions affect infrastructure, workforce access, and business growth helps ensure our members and residents stay informed, prepared, and engaged in the future of Carbon County.”

The program will feature updates from Pennsylvania State Senator David Argall, Pennsylvania State Representative Doyle Heffley, Carbon County Commissioner Michael Sofranko, Carbon County Council of Governments President Kara Scott, PPL Electric Utilities and PennDOT Assistant District Executive for Design Scott Vottero.

Together, these leaders will share perspectives on the most important state, county, and municipal issues to watch in 2026, as well as how infrastructure planning impacts business expansion, workforce access, and community growth.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear how policy decisions translate into real-world outcomes, while gaining a better understanding of how to stay informed and engaged at the local and state levels.

The event will include time for networking, followed by a moderated cross-panel discussion and a curated audience question-and-answer session, allowing for meaningful dialogue between attendees and regional decision-makers.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, and registration is required. Doors open at 8:00 AM, with the program beginning at 8:45 AM. The event includes networking and breakfast, as well as the presentation. For more information or to register, visit t.ly/Xpnkx.
