[Northampton County, PA] – Northampton County officially announces a new collaboration with Northampton Community College and Lehigh Valley Justice Institute to bridge the gap between incarceration and high-demand regional industries. By providing Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credits for core college success and career planning courses, the program fast-tracks formerly incarcerated individuals into Northampton Community College’s (NCC) workforce pipelines.
This evidence-based program, called Pathway to Your Future, is focused on reducing recidivism by equipping participants with practical skills, career direction, and individualized support before release. Through an immersive, interactive curriculum, participants actively engage in self-assessment and workforce preparation activities that build a strong foundation for long-term success.
Members of the media are invited to attend the official announcement ceremony.
