Tasks include welcoming guests, providing handouts and directions, manning and monitoring various activities, helping with directing traffic, parking, and providing pedestrian safety, as well as event set-up and event tear-down. Interested volunteers will be asked to meet at Grist Mill on Saturday, April 25th at 9am for a brief orientation and overview of procedures.

Join our Stream Team at Fry’s Run Park!
If you’re ready to go with the flow, join Wildlands Conservancy on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 8am-11am as we maintain vegetative areas along streams (riparian buffers) and help ensure the survival of young, native trees in the forest buffer. These vital areas improve water quality in local communities, reduce erosion and flooding concerns, and provide habitat for wildlife. Volunteers will maintain tubes placed over the trees to protect them from deer, remove invasive vegetation, straighten any leaning trees, and re-stake if necessary. Volunteers must be 16 years or older OR be accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 16. Volunteers must be able to work outside for the duration of the shift on uneven ground.
Stream Team events will run rain or shine except for severe weather conditions. Contact Jake Metzger at: jmetzger@wildlandspa.org / (610) 965-4397

Become a Mentor. Change a Life.
Do you remember someone who believed in you when you were young? Someone who listened, encouraged you and helped you to see your potential? Today, you can be that person for a youth in our Lehigh Vally community. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley is looking for caring and dependable adults (18+) to volunteer as one-on-one mentors to local youth (Ages 7-15). Mentors are “matched” (or paired) with a young person based on shared interests, personalities, and goals to help build a meaningful and supportive friendship. As a volunteer mentor, (or “Big”) you’ll spend time together with your mentee (or “Little”) 2-4 times each month, for 12 months, getting out into the community and doing simple, fun and low-cost activities you both enjoy. It’s not about being perfect – it’s about being present and consistent! Activities might include: Getting ice cream, shooting basketball hoops, doing a simple craft, going for a walk, or exploring a park.
