A Block Party will be held on Saturday May 2nd from 11 am to 2 pm for the community.
Lehigh Valley, PA – April 20, 2026 — Pinebrook Family Answers is celebrating National Foster Care Month with a free Community Block Party on Saturday, May 2, from 11 AM to 2 PM at our campus at 402 North Fulton Street, Allentown. Families, neighbors, and community members are invited to enjoy an afternoon of food, music, activities, face painting, balloon animals, and opportunities to learn more about foster parenting, adoption, and local resources.
This event is made possible through a grant from the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) and in partnership with community organizations including Allentown Health Bureau, Allentown Police Department, Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center,
Community Bike Works, Community Services for Children (Head Start and Early Learning Resource Centers), Highmark WholeCare, The Inspired Minds, Salisbury Police Department, and The Sanctuary at Haafsville.
May marks National Foster Care Month, a time to honor foster parents, mentors, volunteers, child welfare professionals, and policymakers who help children and youth find stability, permanency, and hope. Children enter foster care due to family crises, unsafe conditions, or neglect, and foster families provide the love, safety, and support needed to help them heal and grow. For more than 40 years, Pinebrook Family Answers has been committed to serving children in need of out‑of‑home placement, offering specialized foster care programs that meet the unique needs of each child.
