Allentown, PA – Representative Ana Tiburcio (PA HD22) has wrapped up a successful first month in office, celebrating a number of significant milestones, wasting no time making real change for families in Allentown and Salisbury and supporting Governor Shapiro’s agenda. Rep. Tiburcio’s first month in office mirrors her campaign promises to deliver real results for working families, advocate for Lehigh county, and tackle the affordability crisis head-on.
In just her first month, Rep. Tiburcio has:
- Delivered $500,000 in grants to Communities in Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s School Safety and Security Committee for violence-prevention programs.
- Sponsored legislation to raise the minimum wage, establish paid family and medical leave, protect marriage equality, and promote student mental health awareness.
- Introduced legislation to reduce fees for teacher state certification and expand the malt beverage tax credit to be more accessible to local breweries.
- Voted to empower municipalities to develop data center ordinances, require data centers report energy and water use, and require baby diaper changing stations in public restrooms.

Representative Ana Tiburcio (PA HD22) is a single mother of four who has lived in the district for over three decades, former School Board Director, former Community Engagement Coordinator for Allentown Blueprint Communities, and she has served on a number of community boards including Parks and Recreation and the Library.
