The Bill Mutimer Summer Theatre Program brings Broadway favorites, family programming, and community collaboration to the stage

BETHLEHEM, PA – Northampton Community College (NCC) is proud to announce its 2026 summer theatre season, featuring a dynamic lineup of productions as part of its Bill Mutimer Summer Theatre Program. The season celebrates the legacy of the program’s founder while continuing its mission of providing high-quality, hands-on experiences for students and engaging performances for the community.

This summer’s lineup includes four standout productions all taking place at NCC’s Lipkin Theatre on their Bethlehem campus:

  • A Chorus Line(June 3–14) — A Broadway classic filled with heart, ambition, and unforgettable music
  • Gypsy (June 24–July 5) — The legendary story of stage ambition and showbiz dreams
  • Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School (June 17–July 26) — A fun, high-energy show for young audiences and families
  • The Hunchback of Notre Dame (July 15–26) — A sweeping, powerful musical with soaring melodies

Performances take place Wednesday through Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, with additional daytime and sensory-friendly shows for young audiences as well as special events including a July 4 celebration with food trucks.

“This season reflects everything our program stands for—artistic excellence, student opportunity, and community connection,” said Alyson Krawchuk-Boschen, Associate Dean. “We’re especially excited to honor Bill Mutimer’s legacy while continuing to grow a program that brings together students, professionals, and audiences in a truly meaningful way.”

The Summer Theatre Program provides NCC students the opportunity to work alongside visiting student artists and professional union actors, creating a collaborative, real-world learning environment. The program also engages local community members both on stage and in the audience, strengthening connections across the region.

In addition to the performances, select evenings will feature a “Dinner and a Show” experience in partnership with NCC’s student-run restaurant, Hampton Winds, showcasing the college’s culinary and hospitality programs.

Tickets are now on sale, with affordable pricing for adults, seniors, students, and groups as well as special “pay what you are able” days.
