CETRONIA AMBULANCE CORPS TO CELEBRATE EMS WEEK WITH COMMUNITY EVENTS TO HIGHLIGHT THE IMPACT OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES



South Whitehall Township, PA – Cetronia Ambulance Corps will mark National EMS Week, May 17-23, 2026, with a series of community events designed to recognize EMS professionals while engaging residents through education, wellness, and family-friendly activities.

The 2026 EMS Week theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” emphasizes the teamwork behind emergency medical services and the importance of strong leadership, professional development, mental health support, and safe staffing to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Throughout the week, Cetronia Ambulance Corps will host the following events:

EMS for Children Day

Cetronia Ambulance Corps will kick off EMS Week with its annual EMS for Children Day on Saturday, May 16, from 1-4 p.m. at its headquarters located at 4300 Broadway in Allentown. The free family-friendly event will feature ambulance tours, games and activities, face painting, glitter tattoos, mini cows from Horns and Hooves Mobile Mini Moos, live music by Hearts for Music PA, pet adoptions through Starting Over Animal Rescue (S.O.A.R.), and food vendors Take a Taco and The Udder Bar.

Dine & Donate at P.J. Whelihan’s Pub + Restaurant

On Tuesday, May 19, from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., community members can support Cetronia Ambulance Corps during a dine & donate fundraiser at P.J. Whelihan’s Pub + Restaurant, located at 4595 Broadway in Allentown. 15% of eligible dine-in and take-out sales will benefit Cetronia’s lifesaving mission when guests mention Cetronia Ambulance Corps before checkout. 

Blood Drive with the American Red Cross

Cetronia Ambulance Corps will partner with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Wednesday, May 20, from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Cetronia headquarters, 4300 Broadway in Allentown. The drive aims to fill 42 donor appointments, including five Power Red donations, helping support local hospital and emergency care needs. Advance registration is required. 

EMS Week Open House

An EMS Week Open House will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 5-7 p.m. at Cetronia Ambulance Corps headquarters in partnership with the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce and Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Joint Operations Center, participate in hands-only CPR demonstrations, and meet Cetronia team members. Lite refreshments will be served, and a cash bar will be available.
