CAMELOT FOR CHILDREN, Allentown needs volunteers (14+ years) to be Camp Buddies from 8am-3pm for summer camp from now to August 2.   Volunteers are paired with Camelot children and their siblings to have a great time enjoying the playground, games, crafts, and weekly field trips to a variety of different locations. HISTORIC BETHLEHEM MUSEUMS & SITES is looking for volunteers for their Blueberry Festival, July 20 and 21, at the Burnside Plantation. Volunteer opportunities include: dessert tent, admissions, parking, Blueberry Brewery (age 21+), Kid’s Club crafts, colonial dress up & games, runners, and more! Volunteer shifts are: Festival set-up; Monday through Friday, July 15-19 from 8am-3pm; Saturday, July 20 – 9:30am-1pm, 12:30-4pm, and 3:30-7pm; Sunday July 21-Clean-up 6-9pm. LEHIGH COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY, Allentown needs a volunteer for their development department to help with data entry, database manipulation, and excel spreadsheet maintenance. MORAVIAN HALL SQUARE, Nazareth has some great options for volunteering at their Morningstar Living community. Daytime, early evening, and weekend hours are available to engage in activities and services at the Moravian Hall Square campus. PHOEBE HEALTH CARE CENTER, Allentown needs volunteers (age 13+ or entering 8th grade) to help transport residents to/from their rooms before/after summer picnics in July and August. Visit with the residents during the picnic to enjoy food and conversation. Some residents may need help carrying their food to the tables. SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, Nazareth is looking for individuals or groups of volunteers to help pack SUNShine Boxes on an assembly line from 8:30am-12:30pm every 1st and 4th Tuesday of each month.  Volunteers help organize and load pallets, make and break down boxes, and do sweeping. THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, INC., Orefield needs volunteers (18+ years) to be Ranch Camp Counselors from 8:45am-2:30pm during the weeks of July 15 and August 5. Camp counselors will guide campers (2nd grade-12th grade) in activities that include: horsemanship, donkey cart rides, alpaca-felting, scavenger hunts, learn about care/feeding of animals, shadow a real veterinarian, etc. Daily themes include Team Work and Spirit of Volunteerism. THE SANCTUARY AT HAAFSVILLE, Breinigsville is looking for a Shelter Manager/Director to oversee day-to-day operations, supervise volunteers, maintain records, interact with the public, ensue that shelter animals receive proper care, work closely with Board of Directors, and recommend/assist to implement procedures and best practices. Candidate must have flexible hours, 4+ years of administration experience within an animal shelter environment, and leadership/management experience.
