FRIENDS OF JOHNSTON, INC., Bethlehem needs volunteers to help with their Winter Wonderland Dinner to Benefit Camel’s Hump Farm on the Johnston Estate on Saturday, December 14 from 9am-9pm.  Volunteers will help with the preparations, marketing, sponsorship, auction solicitation, decorations, dinner prep, and serving. GRACEDALE NURSING HOME, Nazareth needs volunteers to assist with the unglamorous, yet necessary, task of undecorating their Christmas trees. Trees will be disassembled by housekeeping. HISPANIC CENTER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem needs volunteers to help decorate and work at their annual holiday Christmas party on Friday, December 20 from 5-7pm. This party is dedicated to 70 needy families in the local community. Responsibilities include decorating Christmas tree, hanging ornaments, setting up and decorating tables, help organize catered food, serve food, and clean-up. NORTHEAST COMMUNITY CENTER, Bethlehem needs volunteer Tutors for their After-School Homework Club from 3-5pm Monday-Thursday. Volunteers assist children with homework, school projects, reading, math, and enrichment activities. Participate as little as one time per month or as often as program meets. PHOEBE ALLENTOWN HEALTH CARE CENTER, Allentown is holding a Bingo Marathon in which they will hold a bingo every day starting the day after the Christmas holiday and ending on New Year’s Day from 1-5pm. ST. LUKE’S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK, Bethlehem, Monroe, Quakertown, and Warren Campuses need Volunteer Escorts, Patient Advocates, and Hospice Volunteers Monday-Friday from 8am-12pm or 12-4pm. THE SALVATION ARMY CHILDRENS SERVICES, Allentown is looking for a group of volunteers to create a brand-new Trauma Therapy Room for foster and adoptive children. The room could use a fresh coat of paint, furniture, decorations, and storage; must be cleaned, organized, and made warm and inviting. Bonus would be a chalkboard wall or a kid-friendly mural.
