\n<\/a>Allentown, PA, March 26, 2020 – Despite the current coronavirus pandemic, the Mayor of Allentown and the members of Allentown City Council presented Allentown DeMolay with Proclamations recognizing March as DeMolay Month in the City of Allentown and recognizing the 101st Anniversary of the founding of DeMolay.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Chapter wishes to thank Allentown Mayor Ray O\u2019Connell and Council Members Daryl Hendricks, Julio Guridy, Candida Affa, Cynthia Mota, Joshua Siegel, Ce-Ce Gerlach, and Ed Zucal for the recognition.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

DeMolay International, founded in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1919, is an international fraternal organization for young men ages 12 to 21. It was named for Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. DeMolay was incorporated in the 1990s and is classified by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501 organization.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Allentown Chapter was founded in 1926 and meets in the Allentown Masonic Temple, which is located at 1524 Linden Street, across from West Park.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Chapter has been named the Most Outstanding DeMolay Chapter in Pennsylvania the past two years.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The current Master Councilor, Jonathan Rhoads, is a junior at Emmaus High School.<\/div>\n
